Responsible AI at Revive
Responsible AI at Revive guides whole person care.
Our technology makes care more human. Revive AI meets members in the moment, understands the whole person, and guides them to the right next step in their care journey. Clinical care and member experiences are at the center.
The Principles
Six commitments behind Revive AI
01
Care comes first
We believe AI brings the greatest value when it is designed around the needs of people and used with clear purpose and accountability.
02
Empathy before action
Guidance is delivered in clear, considerate language that acknowledges a member’s situation before offering next steps.
03
Whole person intelligence
Relevant health information, personal context, and individual circumstances are factored in so actions and guidance are responsive, inclusive, and personalized to each member’s needs.
04
Transparent and accountable
Responses acknowledge uncertainty, explain recommendations when appropriate, and escalate when human judgment is needed. Outcomes are measured, and performance improves responsibly through feedback from members and clinicians.
05
Accurate and trustworthy
Guidance is grounded in reliable information and validated processes. Recommendations are designed to be accurate, consistent, and appropriate for every population we serve.
06
Private and secure by design
Health data is protected, and access is limited to what is necessary to support members safely and responsibly.
We use AI to make whole person care more human. Our technology is guided by people, accountable to members.
These principles are an extension of Revive’s core values:
Built-in Safeguards
Technology and clinical safeguards at every step
Responsible AI is the backbone of how Revive’s technology works.
Risk-aware design
Risk levels are assessed for AI features, with safeguards aligned to the level of risk.
Human oversight
AI-generated actions are reviewable by members and clinicians.
Continuous monitoring and feedback
Systems are continually assessed for performance, equity, and safety in production. Feedback from members, clinicians, and operational teams is used to improve outcomes responsibly.
Data access controls
Access to member data for AI systems is restricted based on role and business need, with all PHI access authenticated and monitored in accordance with Revive Health’s HIPAA practices.
Equity by design
AI features are designed and evaluated across relevant member populations to identify and mitigate disparities in access, experience, performance, and outcomes.
